These cutters are made from high-end hardened D-2 steel and feature a high-precision EDM tooth cutting process. The result is a super-tough, superior cutter with incredible sharpness and long life unequaled by conventional grinding. Unlike ordinary checkering tools, the specially designed teeth feature extra deep chip clearance to cut cleanly with minimal effort and reduce the risk of skating.The result is smoother professional quality cuts and practically unlimited service life! The typical use sequence follows: 1. Cut the initial furrow with a 90° cutter. 2. The spacing cutter creates the properly spaced furrow for the particular Lines Per Inch (LPI) specified. Each cutter is marked for easy identification with either the degree angle or the lines per inch (LPI). Handle length: 7" (180mm), cutter length: 7/16" (11mm). The included gauge has fool-proof layouts for diamonds either 3 or 3.5 times longer than wide.
