Company Karl Weis & Cie. GmbH was founded in 1903 by German entrepreneur Karl Weis and has been engaged from the very first in production and sales of metal items for household and kitchen. The premises were in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart/Germany. The children of the Jewish founder had to flee from the Nazis and settled in the United States of America. After World War Two the Company was reassigned to the family, but obviously they did not want to return to Germany. For 10 years the Company was run by a trustee, in 1955 the family sold the company to German entrepreneur Max Braun, grandfather of current managing partner Hans Braun. In September 2014 Thimo Braun joined the company as fourth generation of the Family. Since 2008 the premises of the company are in the community Murr, 10 km north of Ludwigsburg. Nowadays company Weis concentrates on stainless steel kitchen utensils for the professional kitchen as well as the household kitchen.
